Warmer weather makes your pets crave the outdoors which can make them a little annoying.
My roommate’s cat Athena loves going outside even though she is an indoor cat. She moews non-stop at the door until you take her out.
A good way to stop the begging and satisfy your pet is to take them to the park. There are so many parks in West Lafayette where your pet will get to roam around and will satisfy their craving for the outdoors.
Here are some parks in West Lafayette that would be perfect for you and your pet to explore on a warm Spring day.
- Cumberland Park– has a 1/2 mile footpath, plenty of sports fields, gardens and most importantly, trees. From May-October there is also the West Lafayette Farmers Market which meets from 3:30-7 pm at the park.
- Happy Hollow Park– has one mile of paved footpaths, 81 acres, two playgrounds, sports fields and a tube run in the winter. This park provides plenty of space to roam as well as activities for the entire family to enjoy.
- Tapawingo Park– 20 acres large and has the one mile paved Wabash Heritage Trail. It also has a playground and Riverside Skating Rink. It’s a beautiful place to walk your pet and is very close to campus.
