Spring Fever

March 20th marks the first day of Spring and the last official day of Winter. This season brings big smiles, happy feelings and hopefully sunshine.

Spring Fever has hit and people are ready to bring out their shorts and flip flops and put their convertible tops down. Unfortunatley the weather doesn’t always agree and it still feels like winter (I blame Phil).

So, I have come up with a list of movies you can watch that will still make it feel like Spring and can keep you warm and out of the cold.

1. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

What could be more representive of Spring than skipping school, parades and a “stolen” convertible. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a classic feel good movie that any family can enjoy. It’s happy and laid back vibe will have you ready to invite some friends to play hooky.

2. 50 First Dates

50 First Dates is a hilarious and emotional movie that will make you want to cuddle up to your loved ones. It’s beautiful Hawaiin Island location almost has you feeling the sunshine through the screen.

3. Up

“Adventure is out there.” Spring time is all about new adventures and what movie depicts this better than Up? It’s a movie that brings unexpected friends across the world and will encourage you to get outside and find some adventures of your own.

4. Hop

You can’t have a Spring movie list without including a movie with the Easter Bunny. Hop takes place on Easter Island and is about a brave bunny trying to find out who he really is while meeting some friends along the way.
5. The Sandlot

When I think of Spring I think of baseball. The Sandlot is a great movie that I have loved since I was a kid. The hope that baseball brings these boys and the impact that is has on their lives shows the power and beauty of the game. It almost makes you want to find a baseball field of your own as well as a giant dog to battle.

Hopefully these movies will keep you entertained until the weather warms up and allows you to go on adventures, play baseball and play hooky every day.
